At over 6 feet tall, these plants put on a stupendous display topped with colossal single flowers in ivory with shredded pink edges. Typically short lived, the blooms make a dramatic show, lifting their bowed heads, cracking open, unfurling into full splendor, and dropping petals to produce enormous, long-lasting rattlepods.
